White fungi under log, probably a not fully developed fungi so not sure if identifiable.It had fillament gills

No problem Graeme. This is one of the conflicts in identifying fungi. There are often occasions when it is impossible to identify a find without at least uprooting it and sometimes taking it home for more work.
