Description:

Small 4-5mm black jumping spider. Never observed in my vicinity previously. In upstairs room away from outdoor garden. Open chimney in room. Otherwise no obvious way of entry.

    Confidence: It might be this.

Pseudeuophrys lanigera possibly

Only one record of P. lanigera in Scotland, but noted as spreading north. An indoor species, also on roofs. Photo is a little dark to be certain, but Ecosse not a profitable area for jumpers.
