Type

It is likely to be Geranium renardii which is low growing and ranges from the black to caspian sea,survive's happily in poor rocky soil

Flower does look like

Flower does look like Geranium renardii.There is only one flower in the photograph, but they normally come as a bunch! Isn't it?

Could be first flower,you get one flower per stem with G.renardii I have some in my garden and they are rather spindly,but maybe that is my soil

But as this picture was taken

But as this picture was taken in the Pyrenees, then it would be very out of range for G. renardii. In my mind G. renardii is also a much more robust plant.
