the capsule was a bit

the capsule was a bit misleading for me for a while, as me book suggests that the narrowing at the base of the capsule would make it Polytrichum commune, but looking elsewhere i think i'm with you on the P formosum, and the narrowing is just an artifact.

Me too

I have a few more to put on but I find they take a while to ID I find it amazing how much detail is on such a tiny seed head.

Thanks

I would like that as I live in a very unspoilt unpolluted area and there are mosses everyware you look and I would love to eventually have a list of all of them.I can get another stem but what would I put it in (padded bubble wrap bag maybe)
