Checking though my 2010 sightings I identified these beetles as C. rustica. However, I note now that there is no black spot on the pronotum. Having looked at 'The Coleopterist' web-site I wonder if they may be C. pellucida. The second was seen on the date and location stated, the first was seen in Bentley Wood Hants on 25th May 2010.

The picture on the left, with its black tips to the femora might be nigricans perhaps? The one on the right has no such black tips and looks good for pellucida.

Cantharis pellucida quite often has narrow black rings at the tip of the hind femora, and I think the one above left falls closer to the pellucida amount of black than the nigricans amount of black. But I agree it would be wise to cross-check against other distinguishing features, see:
