Description:

body length 10mm. Bright red legs with pale green patterned abdomen. On a shed window frame when captured, possibly preparing to build a web. Apart from the colour it seems very similar to previous posting identified as Metellina segmentata/mengei. The abdomen is narrower and more elongated - a difference in sex?

I think this one is male, judging by the bulbous pedipalps.
