Description:

Numerous in number. Growing in bark chip mulch. Flesh had no particular smell. Edges of younger caps had white wooly scales, as did the bases of the stems. Older caps becoming concave.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

There are those that think that T Hiemalis and T furfurcacea are different species and those that do not. It is up to you to decide

I think I will.................

I think I will decide that they are synonymus. It saves trying to work out which is which!
