Each year there are one or two of these earth stars in the same place under scots pines on acid sandy soil.
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
This earthstar does not have a collar and is rather small for G. triplex. But it seems surprisingly difficult to distinguish between 3 or 4 of the earthstars of about this size and shape so I am not ruling it out. The key that I have been using is full of technical terms that are not defined in the book itself which is not over helpful.
