Description:

This Lesser Black-backed Gull was attacking an injured Fulmar (Summer 2009). Meanwhile two Ringed Plovers were mobbing the gull (one seen in first photo). At the time I thought it was a Great Black-backed Gull but, on scrutiny of the photo, have realised that it has dark grey wings and yellow legs. Second photo shows the gull ready to attack the Fulmar before it moved into the water.
