With thorns like those and wavy edged leaves... it maybe looks more like a Berberis of some kind.
are fearsome, but although berberis and pyracanthus species come to mind, the irregular leaf-shape doesn't fit with the references I looked at. I have surmised at euphorbia at species level but unable to find anything with a match
If you break a leaf of any Euphorbia, a milky sap will leak out (careful as it's an irritant). I don't know of any Euphorbia this doesn't work for.
