An insect that came to my mothtrap last June large wings and long antennae.
No interactions present.
There are two Irish species. Sialis lutaria is by far the most common but I dont know whether you can tell them apart from a photo. The other is nigripes
Martin, yes not an alder fly. Should have blown the image up.
On looking closer I think the venation is forked at edge of wing which is wrong for alderfly.It was found in a garden far from water so that also lessens lightlyhood of alderfly. My only photo I am afraid.
