Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
Another species I spotted on my site visit to Ellerburn Bank in November 2010. If anyone knows the identification of this species could you let me know? Again it would be useful to include with Ellerburn Bank management plan.
I wouldn't rely wholly on identifications made on this site Sarah. Not that there aren't extremely knowledgable people on here, there are. It's just that identifying anything from a photo alone, especially fungi, is fraught with problems, unless all but the most recognisable of species.
Thank you for the possible identification. I've also sent my photos to local knowledgable naturalists as well, however getting hold of them sometimes is quite difficult. Even an attempt by others to identify is better than nothing. I will make sure if any "possible identifications" are made that I will state this in the management plan, so that it can be double checked in the future.
Thank you for your help.
