Well I would not be so sure

Well I would not be so sure about the lack of this species in UK in future as I understand that a number of mosses, nematodes and other things have been arriving and establishing in UK from NZ usually via imported plants such as tree ferns. Perhaps getting own back from all the imported biota that arrived in NZ from other parts of the world.

That's true

In fact there is a relative of this fungus called Favolaschia calocera which is bright orange. It was described from Madagascar but has been found in Italy. It arrived in New Zealand some years ago and spread rapidly. It is considered to be a fungal weed.
