Description:

Found this bird amongst the goldfinches, eating from the nyger seed feeder. I didn't think it was a siskin or a greenfinch, it was very similar to the goldfinch in shape and markings, but green/yellow. Slightly smaller in size to the goldfinch.

This is the reason why a website like this is important as we can get help from so many interested in wildlife. It is often not so easy identifying species, as there is so much variation in the wildlife. Yesterday I have been to Natural History Museum and first time visited Cocoon gallery, very impressed. A must see specially for children who are keen in biology, really inspiring!
