It is such a long time since I have seen a siskin in this area that it never occurred to me that this was anything other than a greenfinch. However having refreshed my memory about siskins and checking the photograph again, I can now see some reasons why this may be a siskin.
The yellow bar goes across the wing rather than along the edge. There is the hint of a second short bar towards the shoulder. The chest and belly are streaked (although greenfinches are also streaked. The beak does blooks smaller than a greenfinch's. I am not sure that the resolution of the photograph provides any finer detail of the wing pattern.
On balance I agree with siskin.
