Thanks guys, hard to see those 3 submarginal cells, any idea from the space between the eyes if male or female or can one only tell from the number of antennal segments

Pollen

In this case it is quite easy to say that it is a female: pollen collecting is an exclusively female activity. This one has plenty of pollen packed into the scopa on the hind legs and on the back of the thorax
