This looks like an orange slime mould (Myxomycete species).

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

A new one for me -

but it looks very much like the illustrations. I've agreed on that basis!

slime mould

Very difficult to ID from a photo. You would need a close up of the fruiting body from the side showing the stalk, columella (if present), peridium and sporing mass. Very hard to take pics with that detail as I have discovered for myself on my slime mould samples at home.
