Description:

A soft jelly fungus, much softer and floppier than Auricularia auricula-judae (Jelly Ear) and not clustered in one place like tremella species. It was growing on a fallen branch of a deciduous tree.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

I found a similar.............

I found a similar looking fungi a couple of years ago, but thought it was just a malformed Jelly ear. Now I wonder if it was this, i.e. E.recisa. I'll post up the photos and see what other ispotters think.
