Hi Hugh, both the fish in the pictures uploaded are the shanny also known as the common blenny. These guys are often found in rockpools, they often seem quite inquisitive but have been known to bite!

Thanks Trudy, that was very helpful. I was quite surprised just how many there were in the various rockpools. I didnt manage to be bitten thankfully!
