Otter's xmas dinner on ice

Crossing the bridge near midnight on Christmas day, spotted a movement on the edge of the ice in the middle of the river Tay, which was half-frozen. It wasn't well-lit, but could see the otter's head bobbing as it chewed, probably a salmon - the orange-pink stain just distinguishable on the snow. No mistaking the tapered tail. It seemed totally at home on the ice. After 10 minutes, it slipped into the water, returned briefly to the ice-edge, then headed out into the main flow where I soon lost sight of its ripples among the many swiftly passing ice-floes.
