I Am Not Sure But I Think That Is A Whimbrel Because The Beak Is Very Long And The Beak Is Not As Curved As The Other Observations Of The Curlew.
The very long bill is actually a reason why this is a Curlew, Sam, and not a Whimbrel. It may also be a female, as they have the longer bill.
Whimbrel are also summer migrants to Britain, mostly, so this is always more likely to be a Curlew, in December.
