It amazes me.............

It amazes me how many fungi are actively growing despite the subzero temperatures the whole country has been experiencing of late. I suppose there will always be local climatic conditions which favour fungal growth, or just species that are more tolerant of cold than others.

winter fungi

thanks for your comments. I came upon the 'oysters' by chance and had to run and get my camera. I will keep my camera handy and my eyes peeled for the rest of the winter!
