Description:

We quite often see an otter, and sometimes more than one, fishing along the coast and then climbing onto rocks. Visitors to the house have seen one going along a track near a burn; we've never seen this but the track is clearly visible. On one unforgettable occasion, an otter came up from the rocks, passed us going through the grass towards the road, got over the gate somehow, crossed the road, then went all the way back and dived into the sea. There was a screaming group of three gulls above it most of the time. No idea what was going on, but the experience enabled us to see what a large and solid animal it was.
