Moss growing on garden stone wall

...but difficult to see properly from the photo. it doesn't look to have a white 'hair-tip' to the leaves, and the plant is too yellow? but who knows really - i need to get some more experience. not partucularly convinced on some of the other IDs that have come up for T muralis either. if i was gonna take a punt on an ID, Barbula convoluta, but cant see the leaf shape so believe a word i say.
I got the ID from a old observer book on mosses 1956 but there painting's not photo's,there must be a good book out there on this subject.I don't know of any but there must be one,as there are so many mosses out there.
go to the British Bryological Society website and look for their book, the Mosses and Liverworts of britain and ireland - a field guide. good descriptions, pointers to similar species, photos and the key gets you to IDs (with some practice and comparing various mosses that you find).
I will have a look and get one as it's something I have a interest in but can struggle to ID
