Description:

Growing in mixed decidious woodland, approx 5inches high.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Certainly not a bolete, as you can see the gills very clearly. All boletes have pores under the cap. S. grevillei is moist and shiny above, and does not have that scaly stipe. I can't offer the real name, though.
