Two medium sized waders in a drain that runs through Dothill Wildlife site. They were very well camouflaged and I only spotted them because I disturbed them as I walked past. Fortunately they settled where I could still see them; but taking photographs proved tricky as the camera insisted on auto-focussing on anything but the birds. These are the best two and just about show the snipe's lovely plumage. It is possible to make out the very long bill in the second photograph which, I believe, clinches it as a Snipe rather than Jack snipe.
