If you're within reach of the Wildlife and Wetlands Trust's Welney Centre you could take part in a special recording of Radio 4's Saving Species. This is on Saturday 4 December at 3.15pm; places must be booked in advance.

The programme will be a ‘wetlands special' in the Welney Observatory with a panel of experts. It promises to be an enjoyable and informative event which will explore the topic of wetlands against the beautiful backdrop of Welney's famous swans, and before the recording starts there will be a swan-feeding session.

Welney Wetland Centre is located 12 miles north of Ely, 26 miles north of Cambridge and 33 miles east of Peterborough.
