Description:

these were growing on a decaying log in a South London Park
I have returned and added some pics showing the stems to help identification.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

I agree with.....

I agree with Mike Dodd, it's probably emergent velvet shank.
