These little mushrooms were growing beneath a garden tree (sorry didn't notice what sort, we were so interested in the mushrooms), in lawn- which included plenty of moss as you will see from the first picture - which is probably of quite some age, in the gardens of Attadale Castle, near to the shores of Loch Carron in Ross shire. Scotland. I thought I would be able to identify it with my 'Fungi book', but failed to do so. We had no idea at what stage these little fungi were at when we saw them.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
